aagrapevine.org 31 R ecently I was asked to give a lead at a meeting on tradition ten and like any good alkie, I got out the “twelve and twelve,” started to read and was once again awed by our miraculous, God-inspired program. tradition ten says that Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the AA name ought never be drawn into public controversy. no AA group or member should ever, in such a way as to implicate AA, express any opinion on outside controversial issues, particularly those of politics, alcohol reform or sectarian religion.
