When I first entered AA, if anyone had asked me if I had a concept of a Higher Power, I most certainly would have said yes. I knew who and what God was to me and wanted no part of the relationship. I was content and confident, believing nothing could change that. My journey into sobriety began on Oct. 13, 2001, a month after Sept. 11. I had been praying more than ever before.
