10 January 2012 AA News Needed: a few good men CCS is looking for male AA members to sign up to cor‐ respond with prisoners The Corrections Corre- spondence Service (CCS) connects AAs on the inside with AAs on the out- side. GSO has a waiting list of male AA members in prison who requested the CCS and are waiting for an outside AA member to write to them. For the moment, they have enough female corre- spondents participating in the CCS. AAs available to share, through correspon- dence, their experience, strength, and hope in AA should contact: Cor- rections Desk, General Service Office, Box 459, Grand Central Station, New York, NY 10163. European AAs meet Twenty‐nine AA entities get together in Germany Forty-three delegates from 29 AA entities at- tended the XVI European Service Meeting (ESM) in Frankfurt, Germany from Oct. 21-23, 2011. The theme of the AA zonal meeting, coordinated by Great Britain’s General Service Office, was “Unity As Our Safeguard.” Del- egates presented country reports, providing infor- mation on their general structure, financial situ- ation, and services and activities. Several of the delegates described their efforts to sponsor other countries by sharing AA experience and contribut- ing to the World Literature Fund maintained by the Male prisoners need AA letters from the outside. The Grapevine welcomes reports on state conventions, workshops and other major AA events for AA News.
